Academics

Sheridan Elementary is set in an expanding small town community in Sheridan, Indiana. As is often said, "Sheridan is the best-kept secret in Hamilton County."

Our staff is dedicated to providing excellent educational opportunities in the classroom to promote and support students as life-long learners.

We offer an Early Childhood program for students three to five years of age that are developmentally delayed.

Our special education department offers resource rooms, self-contained special education classrooms and inclusionary general education classrooms for students who can be successful in that setting.

Sheridan Elementary offers speech and language therapy, occupational, physical and adaptive physical education therapy. If other services are needed for our students, we have access to "specialized" staff through our Hamilton/Boone/Madison Co-operative.

A gifted and talented program, SOAR (Striving for Optimum Academic Reward), facilitates accelerated learning experiences to students in grades 2-5.

It is the mission of Sheridan Elementary, in partnership with parents and the community, to provide a positive, safe, success-oriented learning environment for all students.
