Cafeteria Information
2023-2024
SHERIDAN SCHOOLS ARE OFFERING FREE BREAKFAST TO ALL STUDENTS THIS YEAR.
Sheridan Community Schools offer healthy and nutritious meals every school day that meet the federal guidelines. A computerized pre-pay/debit system is available to allow parent(s)/guardian(s) and students the ability to deposit funds in advance into their account for meals and ala carte purchases. To set up an online account using your students assigned number go to sheridan.familyportal.cloud.
The cafeteria staff encourages a prepayment plan but checks and cash are also accepted for student food service accounts. At the elementary school, money is collected in the room and sent to the cafeteria to be deposited. At the middle and high school, money is deposited at the point of service. We encourage the use of checks as a receipt, and we ask that you please write the students name or number on the memo line. All balances left in your student account at the end of the school year transfer to the following year
For your convenience, meal prices for the 2023-2024 school year will be:
Student Breakfast FREE
Adult/Visitor Breakfast $2.50
Elementary Lunch $2.75
Middle/High Lunch $2.85
Adult/Visitor Lunch $5.00
Students and parent(s)/guardian(s) are encouraged to keep track of account balances. The cafeteria staff will make every effort to inform of low or negative balances. Our recommended mode of communication is through email; therefore, please ensure the school has an updated email address on file. Please note that there is a charge limit at the Sheridan schools, and if you do not want your child to purchase extra food, please notify the cafeteria. For more information please review our Procedures for Student Meal Accounts found on our school website.
Our school also reviews Direct Certification. This is a federal program where our student roster is matched with federal programs. If your child/children qualify, you will receive a confirmation by August 8th If after August 8th you have not received information and wish to apply for assistance with meals and textbooks, an application will be available online starting in July on sheridan.familyportal.cloud. You may also pick up an application in the school office, or cafeteria office. Upon request, a copy may be mailed to you. If you would like to inquire about the status of your application, you may call the cafeteria office after August 10th.
